CHRISTMAS PARTY:

Our Christmas Party will be Thursday, December 19th.  I will send home reminders closer to time if you volunteered to provide snacks.

There will be no student gift exchange during the Christmas Party; however, the students will be receiving gifts from me.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS:

As much as I love receiving Christmas presents from my students, our class needs supplies more than I need gifts.  I’m asking that students not bring Christmas presents for me; instead, if you would like to give me something, bring items for the classroom.  Below you will find a list of items we could use:

Toys!! (Legos, Animal Figures, Blocks, Tool Set, Doctor Set, etc)

Small Toys for our Prize Box (balls, jewelry, pens, notepads, etc)

Craft Supplies (glitter, beads, sequins, glitter glue, wiggle eyes, alphabet beads, etc)

Colored Expo Markers

Play Dough

Sidewalk Chalk

Children’s Books

Cardstock

Fun Size Bags of Skittles or M & M’s

Pull and Peel Twizzlers

Zipper Plastic Bags

Plastic Cups, Plates, Forks, and Spoons

Snacks

Silly Putty

…..And anything else the kids would enjoy having in class!

Thank you all for your generosity throughout this school year and your thoughts this Christmas season.

Merry Christmas!!!

STOCKINGS:

This afternoon, you will find a plain red stocking in your child's folder.  Over Thanksgiving break, please help your son/daughter decorate this stocking with items from around the house.  This project is optional, but I hope you will take a few moments to complete the activity over the next few days.

Items that have been used in the past:
*crayons/markers
*cotton balls
*cereal
*candy
*glitter
*wrapping paper
*small beads
*stickers
Please have the completed stocking back at school on Monday, December 2nd.  Also, be sure to incorporate your child’s name into the stocking design so we will be able to identify it.  These stockings will be displayed in our hallway during the month of December.  Thank you for participating!

CHRISTMAS PROJECTS:

During the next three weeks, our classroom will be busy with Christmas activities and projects!  We will be making a Tasty Christmas Tree, enjoying Polar Express Day, and so much more!  There are a lot of items we need to make these projects successful and enjoyable for your child.  These items include:

Hot Cocoa Mix (in large 20 oz container)
Small Foam Cups
Mini Marshmallows
Waffle Cones (to decorate as Christmas Trees)
Mini or Original M&Ms
Tub of Icing (Green if available, if not get white)
